While the Condor is elegant and efficient in flight and the largest flying bird in the world, it does have some less appealing characteristics, as well.  Yes, even though it is technically a “bird of prey”, it is mostly a scavenger...not a great marketing note. 

In this 2nd edition of the Condor Blog, I am very happy to welcome Thang Tran to the company. Thang is joining Condor as our Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, Thang will oversee the development of our high-performance RISC-V microprocessors, with a special focus on the architecture and microarchitecture of the instruction execution pipelines.

The journey has begun! After months of meticulous planning, countless discussions, and lots of hard work, it is extremely exciting to be able to finally share with you what we are doing here at Condor Computing. At Condor, our vision has three goals: 1st, establish a cutting-edge startup company based in the USA; 2nd, build a world-class microprocessor design team, and 3rd, develop a groundbreaking CPU core that will set new benchmarks in performance and energy efficiency.
